WHO AM I?

Michael is an Australian based creative. Accomplished in creating all types of images, he has been working as a freelance cinematographer since he graduated university with honours in cinematography in 2012. Working on some of the biggest productions to hit South Australia such as Wolf Creek, The Babadook and Deadline Gallipoli, he prides himself on being able to bring the feel and quality of large scale productions to any work is involved in. He has been cinematographer on some of the biggest corporate television commercials and dramatic short films to hit the state in recent years and relishes any cinematic challenge posed to him. In 2017 Michael had the honour of being awarded the Milton Ingerson Award by the Australian Cinematographers Society for the best overall entry of the year for SA and WA. This has opened the door for many more exciting jobs including the feature film Awoken on which Michael was offered the role of Director of Photography. Awoken was shot on location in Adelaide in 2018 and is slated for release in 2019.
